Firstly, I would like to begin by describing to you, what a personal question is.
A personal question (when speaking generally) has no straightforward answer. In fact, a lot of people hate to hear these two words. It Depends. What does it depend on? Well, the person himself. This is what a personal question is.
Now in order to answer the question, you need to know where you are in your training and what goals you have fixated for yourself currently.
An example of this is
If you’re somebody who is aiming to pack on mass, and build heavy muscle, and you are not reaching your proteins through meals, no matter how hard you try; then protein shakes are a must because proteins are building blocks for your muscles.
If you’re somebody on the other hand who is working out, but aiming to maintain a lean physique, and you’re hitting your proteins (which should be much easier than the first person), than there is no real need for you to be taking protein powder.
On this note I’d like to say
Protein shakes are only recommended if you’re not hitting your target ratios to reach your goals.
